General Exclusion

Unfortunately, some things are out of our hands. Here’s a look at a few situations where we’ll be unable to help:

• The insured individual commits or attempts to commit suicide, intentionally harms themselves or needs to be treated for sexually-transmitted diseases, mental or nervous disorders, AIDS, HIV, anxiety, stress or depression.
• Any injuries sustained while serving as a member of the armed forces will not be covered.
• Any treatment required due to injuries sustained under the influence of alcohol, drugs, hallucinogens or other intoxicants will not be covered.
• Involvement in illegal activities, including felony, theft, deceit or other malicious acts.
• In cases where the insured individual is learning to operate an aircraft or is performing duties as a member of the aircraft crew, losses and damages will not be covered.
• Losses caused by a war or war-like situation, including a civil war, invasion, insurrection, revolution or due to the act of a foreign enemy will not be covered.
• If a loss is caused due to the use of military force and equipment to intercept or prevent a suspected act of terrorism, it will not be covered.
• Damages or loss caused by a nuclear reaction, radiation, radioactive contamination or through the dispersal of pathogenic or poisonous materials will not be covered.
• Claims will not be settled if you undertake manual labour or work that could potentially harm you or be dangerous for your health.
• If you suffer from a complication or require assistance due to a congenital anomaly, the medical bills will not be covered.
• If the insured suffers from osteoporosis, or gets a fracture in an area where a pre-existing condition has weakened the bone, we will not be able to provide cover for the treatment.
• Add-on covers like Cruise Inconvenience, Loss of Electronic Portable Items, and Adventure Sports, etc. are not included in the base policy and can be purchased for an additional premium.
